Why we were fundraising?

This website was originally created to help raise funds for Greg’s physical-therapy expenses after a car accident left him a quadriplegic.  Greg is now using the website as a way keep you updated on his progress.

In January 2007 Greg was working in Belize, traveling to work, when the driver lost control causing the van to roll over and Greg to be crushed by the roof of the van. His spinal cord was damaged at the C4/C5 level leaving him with the ability to bend his left arm at the elbow, some limited movement of his right arm, and dependent on an electric wheelchair at 27 years old. This was obviously a devastating change to his life.

ICU

After spending months in the hospital Greg and his wife, Florentina, are slowly reintegrating themselves back into the community and have begun to establish their lives in Vancouver, BC.

For Greg to gain back any movement of his arms and legs, he needs to have intensive physiotherapy. Physiotherapy is the number one key to recovery. This means physiotherapy 5 days/week for 3-4 hours/day.
